Yendi Peace Centre: September in Brief
September was a significant month for the Yendi Peace Centre as we continued our mission of promoting peace and development in Northern Ghana. Here are some of the highlights:

Community Dialogue on Climate Change (6th
September):
We engaged the Nyamboligini community in a discussion on how climate change and scarce resources can increase tensions in multi-ethnic areas, encouraging cooperation to maintain peace.

Radio Discussions on Youth Extremism and Climate Change
(13th-14th September):
On Radio Gaaki in Saboba, our team led conversations about the dangers of violent extremism among youth and the pressing issue of climate change, fostering greater community awareness.

Visit to Yaa Naa’s Palace (26th September):
A delegation visited the Yaa Naa’s palace to introduce Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Kloke, the sponsor of our new office facility, as part of our efforts to foster peace in the Dagbon region.

Medical Equipment Donation (26th September):
The Centre facilitated the donation of an anesthesia machine and GH¢50,000 worth of medical equipment (supported by the Germany-based relief organization HDZ ) to Sts Peter and Paul District Hospital in Tatale, enhancing healthcare services in the region.

Inauguration of the New Office Facility (28th
September):
We proudly opened our new office in Yendi, bringing together leaders from across traditional, political, and religious sectors. This new space symbolizes our growing efforts to support peace and development in the region.
